Nevermind...

Things change with the district so often... I will be teaching this school year but not full time. I am sharing a contract with another teacher in a 3rd grade class. I will only work on Thursdays and Fridays. It's a new school and new grade... wish me luck!

Beach Club

Love this girl's faces...

Angie invited us to the Beach Club in Rancho Santa Margarita. It's a very cool place to take kids to swim. We had lots of fun soaking up the rays in our last few days...

My Sewing Blog

As of now I am not teaching this next school year. Due to budget cuts in the state and in our district, primary classes have increased their class size from 20-1 to now 24-1. Having always taught primary and having the least amount of years (9) at my school, I lost the position I had. Things come up as the start of school gets closer and there might be last minute changes... we'll see. I am so sad to not be heading back to school this September, I always LOVED my job. I am thankful that Lance has a job and in the meantime I can put my energies into my new passion and hobby... check it out... my sewing blog is officially up and running...

Yard Work and Critters

The Plant Depot in San Juan Capistrano is my favorite nursery. Lance and I decided to do some yard work today and headed there first. We found a few critters in our yard while working.

This critter has been in our yard for a few months. He's (or she) is huge!!

Lance's vegetable garden... peppers, cilantro, and Japanese bell peppers.
This flower is beautiful however... it takes over everything and I ripped it out of my yard 5 years ago.... it's BACK!! How does it do it???

Catnip

Lance and I spent the morning at the nursery and then spent some time in our yard. Lance came in to relax for awhile and immediately had Chase by his side. We couldn't figure out why Chase was all over him until Lance remembered at the nursery he had put some catnip leaves in his pocket. Guess who found them later that day??!!!

Big Bear with the Allen Family

The Allen family invited us to their cabin in Sugarloaf, near Big Bear, for the weekend. We had the best time and our weekend was jam packed with fun activities. We started with a ride on the chair lift at Snow Summit and then we HIKED down the mountain...

Everyone had their turn holding little Miss Aubrey...
From there we went to dinner and it started to get chilly so Brian was sweet enough to go to the shop next door where everything was $3.00 and buy Angie and I something warm to where. Can you see why my lovely lavender shirt was only $3.00???

Back to the cabin after dinner to play... in the dirt...

The next day we went fishing at Big Bear Lake...

We rode the Alpine Slides...

We went to the zoo and saw lots of animals...

On our way home we stopped at Jenks Lake for one last fishing trip...

Brady... the only one to catch a fish... Way to go Brady!!

THANK YOU ALLEN FAMILY!!! We had a GREAT time!!!
